We are working to remove the obstacles that may be standing in your way.
Paradigm Shift’s strong coalition will support you as you work to become a teacher. You bring your determination and commitment. We help you navigate the education, training, and MTEL testing requirements while you continue working as a paraeducator or as a teacher on a waiver.
We introduce you to sources of financial aid and provide mentors and tutors to help you on your path to success. We provide the names and numbers of people to call if an issue arises.

I am becoming a teacher to empower others and help build a better future together. I appreciate the support I receive through Paradigm Shift—especially MTEL support which, for me, has been the most intimidating part of the process. My advice to others who are considering becoming teachers? Don’t be afraid of tuition costs.
